Kindle Vs Nook Vs Sony Reader
A (Slightly Biased) breakdown of the various eReaders
There are a lot of eReaders on the market. While the Amazon Kindle and the Barnes and Noble Nook receive the most coverage, the Sony eReader is another viable option, one that we clearly endorse. Helping you break down the various options, eReader Store Online brought the various devices together and tried to breakdown the different devices. While the guy showing the devices has a bit of a boring voice, it is nice to see the different devices side-by-side.
The video doesn't talk about the Sony options until 4 minutes in, but it is interesting to see how they fair against the Kindle and Nook. The video seems particularly biased against the Sony eReader, focusing on the devices lack of wireless technology, a feature that I don't really find TOO significant. We're a bit disappointed with their lack of coverage on the device, but at least you're able to see the competition.
The nice thing about the video is that it does go into details on the general features of the devices. It talks about eInk and the great battery life on it. In addition, it shows a bit of what it looks like to view an eReader device. When I first considered buying one, I was reluctant to use one because I thought it would be like reading a laptop. However, as the video shows, the screen is soft, almost like paper.
Overall, I really wish they would have showcased more about the Sony devices instead of immediately punishing it for not having wireless. To hear more about the Sony eReader, you can check out the descriptions on our site.
